BICECA was a project of the Bank Information Center – in collaboration with DAR from Peru, ILSA from Colombia, CEASDESC from Bolivia, Cross Cultural Bridges, Amigos da Terra Amazonia Brasileira, and ECOLEX from Ecuador – from 2006 to 2011. As part of the project, BICECA published various bulletins and analytic articles about the impacts of infrastructure initiatives in the Andean-Amazon region.
The bulletins produced by BICECA supported civil society advocacy work, publishing relevant, timely news and information about certain aspects of projects and policies related to the the international financial institutions (IFIs) and the Initiative for the Integration of Regional Infrastructure in South America (IIRSA). The publication was aimed at a diverse audience of civil society organizations, indigenous groups, students, academics, and other individuals and groups that followed the policies and projects of the IFIs related to IIRSA.
