BIC recently attended the eighth meeting of the FCPF Participants Committee in our role as the NGO observer. Presented here is a summary of the proceedings.
The eighth meeting of the World Bank’s (WB) Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) Participants Committee took place March 23-25, 2010 in Dalat, Vietnam. In addition to considering the latest revisions to the readiness preparation proposals (R-PP) template and the preliminary results of the first FCPF external evaluation, four R-PP’s were approved: Ethiopia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Peru, and three informal R-PP’s were presented for discussion: Uganda, Liberia and the Central African Republic.
