On May 17 2016, the World Bank Group released the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Tunisia for the 2016-2020 period. This formally concluded the CPF drafting process that started in January 2014. The final document highlights the critical role the WBG aspires to play in developing the private sector, reducing regional disparities and promoting social inclusion in Tunisia.
The World Bank’s country office conducted consultations with civil society organizations, academics, economists and other Tunisian stakeholders during the drafting process for the CPF in the coastal and interior regions. Now that the CPF has been finalized, they have committed to return to these regions and discuss it. These sessions intend to “close the feedback loop” on the CPF drafting process and will take place throughout the months of July, August and September in 2016.
The first session is set to be in Sfax on July 18 2016. Dates for Beja, Zaghouan, Tataouine, Tozeur, Medenine, Gafsa and Tunis are yet to be determined.
