The World Bank has responded to a CSO letter calling on the World Bank to address the needs of children in safeguard policies
In a General Comment on State obligations regarding the impact of the business sector on children’s rights adopted on February 6, 2013 the Committee on the Rights of the Child called on States Parties to ensure that their participation in International Financial Institutions is consistent with obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
