This is the third time that the World Bank has delayed the final US $150 million tranche to the Government of Indonesia
The final (third) tranche of the WATSAL loan, totaling US $150 million, has not yet been disbursed. The World Bank has delayed disbursement due to uncertainty regarding whether the Government of Indonesia will implement a Bank mandated reform that decentralizes management of irrigation schemes away from the Central government to Water User Associations (WUAs). If this reform is not included in the national water law that the Indonesian parliament is scheduled to approve before the end of the year, the World Bank will likely not disburse the final tranche and the loan may be closed.
